SKIN & VD :
STD and Leprosy clinic was started in 1966. There are two units with one Professor, one Associate Professor, five A.P. and 20 Residents. There are 35 beds for indoor patients. It runs STD clinic, Leprosy clinic, Pemphigus clinic, Vitiligo Clinic, Acne clinic, Collagen - Vascular diseases clinics. Many therapeutic trials are being conducted in the field of Leprosy, STD and skin disorders. Dermato surgery in the form of punch grafting, S T G etc. is also being carried out. This department has Radiotherapy Cautery, Hyphrecater, Iontophoresis equipments and instruments like Modern Dermabrader for Dermato surgery.
This department actively participates in all government programmes related to Leprosy, STDs and School Health Programme.Publication of papers in national journals like IADVL (Indian Association of Dermatologists & Venerologists & Leperologists), IJP (Indian Journal of Physicians) and IASSTD (Indian Association on STD) and Leprosy India and also foreign journals like American Academy and International Journal of Dermatology is done regularly by this department.
