NEURO SURGERY :
It was started in 1965. At present there are 30 beds occupancy, 2000 O P D case annually.All types of neurosurgery except vascular neurosurgery are performed.
This deptt. runs supespeciality programme since 1987 . Recently post - operative ward for neuro surgery with intensive care of 8 beds has been started . This deptt. has helped in establishing neurosurgery deptt. in all Medical Colleges of Gujarat .All types of head injuries, brain tumors, spinal code tumors, congenital anomalies, hydroc- ephalous etc. are operated. From the department various members have presented papers and articles in National & International Journals.
The first Stereo - taxic workshop was organized by the deptt. in Gujarat State in 1983.
